Full galleries will be ready within 8 weeks and include the high-resolution as well as web-sized files that are ready to be viewed, shared, and enjoyed! If your collection includes an album we will begin working on the design for that as well.

Hello friend and welcome! I'm Melissa, film wedding and portrait photographer from sunny South Florida. I specialize in luxury destination weddings through out the United States. My photography journey started fifteen years ago in my High School darkroom. These days you can find me traveling the country capturing beauty, love, and joy for the sweetest and most amazing couples.

One very important thing I learned from being a bride myself is...
that your wedding photographer is the vendor you’ll be with the most on your wedding day.
They will be there throughout all the tears of joy, laughter, and heart-felt moments. I believe in being the kind of photographer who doesn’t feel like just another vendor; I take clients and turn them into friends. Throughout your entire wedding day I am watching everything unfold and documenting moments that I know you will both treasure for the rest of your lives, moments you might not even see happen. I will laugh with you, probably cry at some point (no joke, First Looks and Father-Daughter dances get me every time), and will celebrate with you on the dance floor, camera in hand! Every little hand grab, tear shed, dance move... You’ll get those shots (and hundreds more) because your wedding day is filled with tiny moments, tiny details, with one beautiful love story interwoven through every single frame. That story? It’s yours. And I would love to tell it!
What is your background in photography?
I have been a photographer for over 15 years. I received my BFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design and have now been in business for 7+ years.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can we do a custom wedding collection?
Absolutely! Think of the collections as a starting point. If one doesn't meet all your needs I can easily modify them after we chat and present you with a curated and custom collection!
How many images will be get in our final gallery?
On average I deliver about 75-100 per hour that I am photographing. So if you have a 9 hour wedding, typically your gallery will include around 700-900 images.
What is your out of state travel fee?
I have a flat fee of $450 to cover my airfare, two nights accommodation, and a rental car. For certain destinations and international weddings I will send you a custom travel quote.
How long does it take to get our images back?
You can expect to receive a sneak peek of 100 images within two weeks of your wedding day. The remainder of your gallery will be ready within 8 weeks of your wedding day.
Do you always use a second photographer?
I prefer to have a second photographer with me as so many things on a wedding day happen simultaneously. For certain weddings, however, I can photograph solo.
What does being a "hybrid photographer" mean?
I photograph using both film and digital photography. Through out your wedding day I go back and forth between my film and digital cameras, using the medium I feel will best capture the moment. I photograph with film because of it's timelessness, beautiful colors, and luminosity.
How do we officially book with you?
Once you've decided on a collection and we've customized it to your needs, a signed contract and retainer of 30% of your total wedding collection is required to secure your date.
